The Black Cultural Zone Experience is hosting, and they're bringing 200+ Black-owned vendors, two stages of performances, family activities, and the largest Black Joy Parade procession in the country.

Location: Downtown Oakland
Parade Route: Starts at 14th Street & Broadway, ends at Broadway & Grand Avenue
Festival Site: 19th and Franklin
Admission: FREE

The parade kicks off at 12:30 PM. The festival runs until 7 PM. You'll want to arrive early to grab a good spot along the parade route or explore the festival site before it gets packed.

2 Stages of Performances
Expect live music, dance performances, poetry, and The Black Joy Choir. The lineup features both headliners and community artists. Every performance is curated to celebrate Black creativity.
Family-Friendly Activities
Bring the kids. Lil Joy (the children's zone) has activities designed for young ones. Games n' Grooves keeps the energy high. Healing Village offers wellness activities for those who need a moment to recharge.
This event is for everyone: babies to grandparents.
The Parade Itself

How to Get There: Transportation Tips
Downtown Oakland gets busy on parade day. Plan ahead.
BART (Recommended)
Take BART to either:
- 12th Street/Oakland City Center station
- 19th Street Oakland station
Both stations are within easy walking distance of the parade route and festival site.
AC Transit
Multiple bus lines serve downtown Oakland. Check the AC Transit website for routes and schedules.
Bike or Walk
Oakland has bike lanes and bike racks throughout downtown. If you live nearby, biking or walking is the move. Less stress, more fun.
Driving? Think Twice.
Parking will be limited. Street closures will be in effect. If you drive, expect delays and plan extra time.
BART is your best bet.

The Black Joy Parade is organized by volunteers. It's a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Admission is free, but the event isn't free to produce.
