Education

At MFFCE, we believe education is a lasting treasure. It is one of the strongest predictors of well-being and economic stability. Communities thrive when families have access to quality early childhood programs, strong schools, and enrichment opportunities for their children. They grow even stronger when adults can pursue skills training and continuing education that open doors to living wage jobs and career advancement.

That’s why expanding educational opportunity is central to MFFCE’s work in communities across the country.

To expand educational choice and access to quality schools, MFFCE partners with public charter schools dedicated to preparing students for college, career, and life. Through our efforts, we are committed to directing resources and support toward schools in underserved neighborhoods, ensuring families have real opportunities for success.

Because early childhood education is one of the most effective ways to close the achievement gap, MFFCE invests in planning, building, and strengthening early learning facilities in under-resourced communities. Our focus is on creating safe, high-quality spaces where children can thrive and families can build a strong foundation for the future.

MFFCE supports learning that extends beyond the traditional classroom and across all stages of life. We work with community partners to bring college-readiness, high school equivalency, and professional development programs to the neighborhoods we serve. We also champion afterschool and summer enrichment opportunities that keep young people engaged and inspired. For adults, our Bridges to Career Opportunities initiative provides intensive literacy and math support, helping job-seekers strengthen essential skills and prepare for meaningful employment.

Strong educational opportunities not only anchor families with a lasting commitment to their neighborhoods, they form the foundation of sustainable communities where everyone deserves the chance to thrive.
